Local Ukulele Legends Ohana Event

Aloha Festivals Ohana Event at Tiki's Grill & Bar!

Sunday September 22, 2019 | 11AM - 3 PM

Talk story with builders and musicians from the Hawai‘i ‘Ukulele Guild and learn about Hawai‘i’s official musical instrument with custom and vintage ‘ukuleles displayed, and more to play! Listen to local talents kanikapila while enjoying food and drink specials at Tiki’s overlooking Waikīkī Beach.

This Aloha Festivals Ohana Event is a cultural community celebration preserving the unique traditions of the islands honoring the 'ukulele as Hawai'i's official musical instrument and musical ambassador to the world.
Tiki's is rooted in a rich musical background, with a lively year round music program from it’s start featuring local musicians and bands nightly. It was also a music venue before the restaurant was here over 16 years ago!

We love to support Hawaii's culture and history and have a place where our community and guests can enjoy. Tiki's is also a great place for locals with 3 hours of free validated parking, a real plus in Waikiki.

Authentic experience. “Performances” are more kanikapila than they are entertainment as kanikapila defines the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii’s participation in sharing music. The reason is our music and ukulele playing is meant to be shared in a manner that encourages audience PARTICIPATION. They teach people to build quality ukes and encourage them to play these ukes in kanikapila.
Tiki’s is the perfect place for us to exhibit our efforts because of the clientele you draw. Their attention, your services and our kanikapila make for a wonderful celebration of ALOHA!!!!!

Participants, musicians, and builders, in addition to being members of Ukulele Guild board and active participants in the ukulele community:
