Our fearless kahunas in charge, Sarah Mendoza & Kyle Suzuki. They came to clean!
On Sunday, March 10th, Tiki's Grill & Bar hosted their first beach clean up at Diamond Head Beach, collecting almost 400 gallons of opala (trash) from Oahu's eastern shoreline in a first-hand act fighting plastic pollution and preventing the trash from entering the ocean. It was great to have staff and friends get involved directly to Malama our beaches.

#TeamBeachCleanUpRockstars
Sustainable Coastlines supported us with bags to pick up the beach rubbish,
Purve Donuts with their specialty donuts sampling their awesome different flavors to start,
The MOST delicious donuts EVER.
Hawaii Volcanic water keeping the team hydrated, Banan with their locally grown banana soft-serve and acai to cool us down post clean up,
and Kona Brewing Company with hats, a drink tank prize, and a Gold Cliff IPA tasting pau hana at Tiki’s to follow along with hosted pupus from Tikis.
We are honored to have had the support of Kona Brewing Company, Sustainable Coastlines, and more for this mission. It means a lot being able to take the time and give back to a place that brings us so much joy, along with bringing light to the increasing environmental issue of plastic in our oceans. Helping us create meaningful environmental change to empower us as individuals and in our community.
Shae, Sarah, & Jenni walking down to the beach finding rubbish along the way. Everything in sight that was left behind was cleaned that day.
Making small changes in our everyday habits make a huge difference along with increasing our environmental business practices. We hope that you can find ways to make a difference. Not just on Earth Day, but Every Day!
Mahalo to the following for making this Beach Clean Up a Success.
